The Council of Health Insurance “CHI" and the Saudi Food and Drug Authority “SFDA" signed a joint memorandum of understanding to enhance cooperation and exchange expertise in several aspects to empower beneficiaries.
The memorandum, signed by Dr. Shabab bin Saad Al-Ghamdi, Secretary General of the CHI, and His Excellency Prof. Hisham bin Saad Al-Jadhey, Chief Executive Officer of the SFDA, aims for joint cooperation between the two parties to exchange and unify data according to the applicable regulations and rules, and utilize Nphies platform, in an integrative step to enhance digital transformation and expand the use of technology to empower beneficiaries.
The CHI and the SFDA seek to harmonize joint efforts made with relevant authorities to address any challenges facing the health sector related to drug and medical device code lists, and provide proposed solutions, as well as benefit from modern technical means in innovative ways to achieve sustainability.
Eman Al-Turaiki, the official spokesperson of the CHI, stressed the importance of the CHI and the SFDA signing the memorandum of understanding to unify joint efforts to provide innovative modern solutions and empower beneficiaries, which enhances the provision of the best services with high quality and efficiency in the easiest ways.
Al-Turaiki indicated that the exchange of expertise and information between the two parties, in accordance with regulations and laws and based on specific standards, greatly contributes to saving a lot of time, in addition to working on improving the quality of information and data related to drugs and their uses to achieve common goals.
